1. Controller and contact

Almahra International Travel L.L.C – S.P.C, Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, is the controller for information collected through almahratravels.com and our travel services. Privacy requests may be sent to hello@almahratravels.com.

2. Information we collect

  • Identity and travel data: name, nationality, date of birth, gender where required, passport and visa details, photographs, residence, itinerary and previous immigration identifiers.
  • Contact and account data: email, phone, authentication details, language and organisation or agency relationship.
  • Booking and payment data: order items, amounts, status, payment references, refunds and fraud checks. Almahra does not store full card numbers, card security codes or PINs.
  • Technical data: IP address, device and browser information, security logs, cookie identifiers and interactions with our website.
  • Communications and preferences: enquiries, support conversations, consent choices and service feedback.

3. Why we use it

  • To check eligibility, create and fulfil bookings, submit visa applications and deliver travel documents.
  • To process and reconcile payments, prevent fraud, protect accounts and resolve disputes.
  • To communicate status updates and provide customer support.
  • To comply with immigration, tourism, accounting, sanctions, law-enforcement and other legal obligations.
  • To improve our services and send marketing only where permitted and subject to your opt-out choices.

4. Legal grounds

Depending on the activity, we process information because it is necessary to perform or prepare your contract, comply with law, protect vital or legitimate interests such as security and fraud prevention, or because you gave consent. You may withdraw consent for future consent-based processing, but this does not affect processing already lawful or information we must retain.

5. Who receives information

We share only what is reasonably necessary with immigration and government authorities, airlines, hotels, insurers, tour and transport providers, payment processors, communications providers, professional advisers and technology hosting providers.

When another supplier provides the service, that supplier may act as an independent controller under its own privacy notice. We do not sell personal data.

6. International transfers

Travel is international, so information may need to be sent to a destination, supplier or authority outside the UAE. We use contractual, security and necessity-based safeguards appropriate to the transfer and applicable law. Do not send documents for a destination if you do not want the required authorities or suppliers there to receive them.

7. Storage and retention

Passport files, visa documents and deliverables are stored in private access-controlled storage. Access is limited to the traveller, an authorised business coordinator where applicable, and authorised Almahra personnel who need it.

We retain information only as long as needed for the booking, support, fraud prevention and legal, tax, immigration or dispute obligations. Different records have different retention periods. When no longer required, data is deleted, anonymised or securely archived with restricted access.

8. Security

We use role-based access, private document storage, encrypted connections, audit records and hosted payment processing. No service is risk-free; contact us immediately if you believe an account or document has been compromised.

9. Your choices and rights

  • Ask for access to or a copy of your personal data.
  • Ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete information.
  • Ask for deletion, restriction, transfer or objection where applicable.
  • Withdraw marketing consent and object to certain automated processing.
  • Complain to Almahra or the competent UAE authority.

We may need to verify your identity and may retain information where law, immigration records, fraud prevention or a legal claim requires it.

10. Children and other travellers

A parent, guardian or authorised booking adult must provide information for a minor. If you give us another person's information, you confirm you are authorised to do so and will make this notice available to them.

11. Updates

We may update this notice when our services, suppliers or legal requirements change. Material changes will be highlighted on the website. The date below identifies the current version.
